Sections with fewer than the minimum needed to play the game (8) will be rescheduled with at least 3 days notice. This class/game can also be played across four 30 minute meetings. Party Prep: Students will be asked to review the character list and leave a comment with their preferences before the live meeting. Stage One: Intro We will review our game schedule, rules, digital tools, and characters. We will review reading in character, and character assignments will be announced! Homework: Students will be sent their character sheets containing top secret info. Please review the sheet, and be prepared to read your intro speech to the class. (Optional: Create a costume and/or props for your part) Part Two: Students will read their character introductions. We will all witness the reading of will, read by Professor Periwinkle. Students will be assigned to be a suspect or detective for the next part. We will make our initial guesses, and play a party game if time allows. Homework: Review the suspect or detective document sent to you. Be prepared to read/act it out. Part Three: Round one of investigations and evidence presentations. Second guesses will be recorded. The roles for suspect and detective are reversed. Homework: Review the suspect or detective document sent to you. Be prepared to read/act it out. Part Four: The final round of investigations and evidence presentations take place. Final votes are cast. Awards are given out. The murderer is revealed! Post party: You are welcome to leave a review of your class experience, but please be careful not to share any spoilers with potential partiers! About the game: The millionaire, Robert Red, was mysteriously murdered in his mansion! Robert's friends, relatives, and workers are surprised and saddened to learn about his death. The police remained puzzled as to who could have taken the millionaire's life. As one of Robert's confidants, you are invited to his will reading party where you will receive your share of the inheritance money. HOWEVER, during the party, you and everyone else will be working to figure out who is responsible for Robert's death. Once you solve the puzzle, you will receive the money Robert promised to each of his friends in the will. Characters: The Butler, The Maid, The Footman, The Cook, The Agent, The Co-Star, The Accountant, The Doctor, The Little Sister, The Older Brother, The Lawyer, The Chauffeur, The Dog Walker, The Gardener, #1 Fan, The Best Friend.

Welcome!
My name is Courtney! I have a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Education from Kent State University. I am also TESOL certified. I have been teaching since 2008. I started teaching exclusively online in the Fall of 2016. I teach science, ESL, Health, and math classes. Many of my classes have a fun theme! I believe students should be comfortable, engaged, and interested while learning.
In my free time, I like to learn, create, and enjoy nature. Some of my hobbies include Oculus Quest, hiking, kayaking, dancing, camping, painting, calligraphy, and music.
I enjoyed reading the Harry Potter and Warriors series and have created classes with similar themes. I am always open to creating new classes with themes that will interest my students!
