Beginner Level
This is a socializing club for students interested in playing Roblox's games. It is learner-led. The learner-led approach (LED) to teaching is a way to allow and encourage the students to be more involved in their learning process. LED empowers the students to learn what they are interested in, and then teach what they have learned to their classmates. Our room structure will be based on 5 steps. We will suggest, surf, explore, discuss strategies, and unlock new worlds together. Our gameplay will encourage children to share, present, and express ideas. Let's be social and playful with our new friends as we play online games. My teaching style is very lively and engaging. As an Outschool parent, I depend on and appreciate moments of student output during my kid's classes. Students can ask the teacher any questions at any time. I encourage speaking as much as possible and especially with their classmates. Each learner shares tidbits about the game and answer discussion questions about their trades. We will recall and retell scenarios that were most memorable during the game. Before we start, make sure to send us your friend request. We'll introduce ourselves and then jump right into the fun! Now, here's a cool part: whoever wins the most rounds of MM2 (Murder Mystery 2) gets to pick a new game! But, there's a catch: you can only change the game at 50 mins pass the hour. We'll use an extra 10 minutes to play the game the winner chooses. Just make sure the game has a free private server, okay? Let's have a blast!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their communication skills. They will learn how to be responsible and kind in the digital world.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parents can limit or disable online chat capabilities, restrict access to a curated list of age‑appropriate games and customize monthly spend restrictions and spend notification frequency in a secure way.
As with all online social experiences, everyone should be respectful of themselves and others, be mindful of what they post and understand how to use any privacy settings, security tools, or blocking and reporting features. Roblox also provides parents with tools to restrict certain activities, like chat, within the platform, and to monitor their child’s account activity.
Roblox defaults to more restrictive settings for users under 13. For additional parental controls, go to Settings (gear icon) and Parental controls. Here parents can disable chat or messaging, restrict access to a curated list of age-appropriate games, and set a monthly limit on how much money, if any, the child can spend on Roblox’s in-game currency. Parents can also enable an account PIN which requires a 4-digit code to make any changes to settings. We recommend parents use these features for very young or new players, but for most families, the goal should be to help children learn to make good decisions on their own as they mature.
