US Grade 6 - 8
For this class, we will look at the true stories that involve the people and artifacts mentioned in the National Treasure movies. We will see a short film about the person or items and we will have discussions, questions and answers and trivia games! This is an ongoing class, so each class will not build upon the previous one. Also after the initial 4 classes, I will take input from students as to what they would like to know more about from the movie, and we will keep going. For example Class 1 Topic, The Statue of Liberty Class 2 Topic, The Declaration of Indepenence. (How is it stored? What is it's history?) Class 3 Topic, Who are the Knights Templar? Class 4: Topic, Benjamin Franklin and his inventions My teaching style is upbeat and positive. Students will interact through questions, answers and discussions. There is no prior knowledge needed but they may want to watch the movies. Please contact me if you have any questions about what we are learning about for the current week. Thanks!
