Beginner Level
This fun and practical 5-day summer camp helps high school students build real-world skills using Excel and PowerPoint. Each class is 55 minutes and includes live instruction, hands-on practice, and group interaction. Learners will start with the basics of Excel, including formatting cells and using formulas. Then they’ll create charts from their own data and insert those visuals into a well-designed PowerPoint. The final two days focus on presentation skills, confidence building, and a supportive final project: a 3-slide presentation called “My Dream Project in Numbers.” (All project work is completed during class through guided instruction and hands-on practice. No outside homework is required.) Each session includes step-by-step demos, screen sharing, live Q&A, and optional templates. I teach with a clear, encouraging style and make space for learners to ask questions, work at their own pace, and share their progress. This class is ideal for beginners with little or no experience in Excel or PowerPoint who want to gain valuable tech skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Learning Goals
Learners will be able to format spreadsheets and apply basic Excel formulas like SUM and AVERAGE.
Learners will create and customize bar, pie, or line charts using personal or sample data.
