A TEDx Talk is an exposition of speakers presenting great, well-formed ideas in different topics. These talks expose students to an issue that they may not otherwise know much about. This class covers different topics as listed below. Students will watch a TED Talk in class, followed by a discussion. The class has few students because everyone has to speak at least once during class. The teacher will give an introduction and closing remarks with background information when necessary. Week of June 5th: The Danger of A Single Story Week of June 12th: Tiger Woods Vs Roger Federer which should you aspire to be? (10,000hrs Concept) Week of June 19th: The Final Kilometer: Eliud Kipchoge Week of June 26th: The Paradox of Choice. Week of July 3rd: What is Social Capital and why we need it. Week of July 10th: What is Grit and why you need to cultivate it. Week of July 17th: Should We Value Speed When Taking Standardized Tests?
