Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
This is an introduction class to Africa bringing the ancient, medieval, and colonial past to the present. 
These 6 classes will give you a comprehensive year of Africa, Africans and Africans in Diaspora. We cover the continent like it has not been covered before from an African Perspective. Giving insight that may not be published anywhere else as our history was not always written down or accurately represented. Rich cultures will be depicted in the trades, Emipires, and Exploration that took place.

Week 1: Explore African Countries and Territories, Geographical Features such as the Great Rift Valley, History, Religion, Culture, Food, Music, and Modern Day Life. The five regions will be taught.

Week 2: West Africa - Countries, Geographical Features, Population, People, History ~ Slave Trade, Colonization and its effects, Religion, Customs and Culture, Modern Day Life ~ Education, Trade, Music, Film Industry. 

Week 3: Central Africa -  Countries, Geographical Features, Population, People, History ~ Colonization and its effects, Religion, Customs and Culture, Modern Day Life ~ Education, Trade, Music, Minerals. 

Week 4: East Africa - Countries, Geographical Features, Population, People, History ~ Colonization and its effects, Religion, Customs and Culture, Modern Day Life ~ Education, Trade, Music, Minerals, Infrastructure. 

Week 5: Southern Africa - Countries, Geographical Features, Population, People, History ~ Colonization and its effects, Religion, Customs and Culture, Modern Day Life ~ Education, Trade, Music, Minerals. 

Week 6: North Africa - Countries, Geographical Features, Population, People, History ~ Colonization and its effects, Religion, Customs and Culture, Modern Day Life ~ Education, Trade, Music, Minerals.
