Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Welcome to Honor Biology.
Our bodies are made of more than a million amazing cells that function as a unit for us to live and thrive. This class helps the students discover what the cell is made of, how it functions as a single unit, and the organization of cells - tissues- organs, and Organ Systems. By the end of class, a student will be able to identify internal parts of the body (Anatomy)and how they function (Physiology.)

The class is divided into TWO units: Cell Biology and Anatomy and Physiology

Cell Biology teaches different types of cells such as Prokaryotic Cells and Eukaryotic Cells. Each cell organelle and its function will be discussed.

PS: This class will cover male and female reproductive organs in the Urinary System in a scientific way. The student will learn how urine is produced and excreted from the body through the reproductive system.

Learners will be provided with notes. The classes utilize videos to enhance each lesson. We will engage in class discussions and homework activities to review each lesson. There are exit quizzes at the end of each topic to review comprehension. All videos watched in class will be provided for students to rewatch reinforcing each lesson.
