1:1 Tutoring for College Prep Reading, Comp, Writing, and Critical Thinking
Reading and Critical Thinking are two of my teaching subject passions. These are essential for success in life. Some learn in class settings and others need one on one instruction to frame the best steps to learn. We'll meet 2x a week.

For 20 years I have been teaching a reading method based on Mortimer Adler's book, How to Read a Book. He is the godfather of reading, comprehension, and critical thinking. These are the focus of all of my reading classes. This reading method is also perfect for writing and speaking on any. subject. I've taught all ages and even those with reading challenges. I was very challenged with reading as a college student and flunked out of college after a year and a half. My goal is to instill a love for reading and learning. Reading is like a doorway to success in life. I start out as a teacher and shift to the role of cheerleader and launch students in a path for wonderful and great things.
We will create a reading plan and steps for gathering critical thinking from the book.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
