Story Time Read Aloud- In Spanish!
In this ongoing class, students will hear a new story in Spanish each week. This is a fast and easy way for children to pick up some Spanish language skills. Stories will be popular children's English book titles that also available in Spanish. Each story will be read aloud in Spanish as the students listen and follow along. I will stop and discuss the story as I read to ensure students understand what is happening in the story.

Students will gather together each class to hear a story in Spanish each week. Stories read will be popular English book titles also available in Spanish. The Spanish story will be read aloud with basic translation of certain words to enhance each child's understanding and comprehension. Learners will be asked questions along the way to keep them engaged and increase their understanding of Spanish. Students will improve their Spanish listening comprehension by hearing fun children's stories read aloud in Spanish.
No materials are needed but children my bring a blanket and/or comfort stuffed animal or toy to class as long as it does not serve as a distraction.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
