Learning Goals
Our focus will be on Northern Africa, specifically Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Sudan. Through this unit, we will learn about their unique characteristics, including their landforms, landmarks, climate, culture, and history.

Learning Needs
Students access material in a variety of ways - through pictures or video, text, and discussion. They can also show their learning through a variety of ways - writing on paper, in chat, participating in discussions, or non-verbal ways.
Supply List
Handouts will be provided for each country. Students may also want a journal or notebook to take additional notes, a pencil, and color pencils or markers.

The materials will come from an anti-racist, decolonized perspective when speaking about geography and cultural issues. The level of information ranges from first to fourth-grade equivalent and I will provide additional resources if the student is interested in going deeper. I am a former special education teacher and created and implemented a social studies curriculum for middle school students with disabilities.
