Class Experience

Students will learn the history of the Black Wallstreet Massacre, but will also learn the importance of business ownership. They will be able to create their own business plan for a business they would like to have.
For the last five years I have been a substitute teacher for grades Pre-K through 8th. This role has given me experience in dealing with teaching social studies, history and ELA.

I also teach a very successful course on Outschool, "Racism and Black Lives Matter". This course teaches about slavery, the history of racism and Black Lives Matter. My reviews have been excellent.

As a former Director of HR, who was a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I helped deal with sensitive discrimination issues when there was alleged discrimination. I have also provided sensitivity training to employees to help them celebrate diversity instead of practicing discrimination. .
Learners will create their own business plan. This will start toward the end of the class and can be continued on their own.
Printer to print out worksheets. Pencil
An informal assessment will be used.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
