Small Group Reading Tutoring Level 1 Phonics (Blends, Digraphs, Silent E)

Help your struggling reader master early phonics skills! This level 1 course, taught by a special education teacher, will focus on short vowels, blends, digraphs, and silent e. Bonus 1:1 reading assessment included.

This class meets 2 times a week as an intensive intervention for struggling readers.

Each day will have a similar structure starting with drill work, building up to reading a decodable passage together.

📖 INTENSIVE READING INSTRUCTION
Learners who are reading below grade level often require intensive reading support. Recent studies from the National Bureau of Economic Research show that high-dosage tutoring, with at least three weekly sessions lasting 30 minutes each, is key for academic success.

Ongoing assessment and progress monitoring are fundamental aspects of my approach to ensure each student's steady progress. I continuously evaluate the effectiveness of my lessons, and make necessary adjustments.
