The class will begin with a discussion of the formula and its parts. A brief review of the concepts of slope and y-intercept will also be given. There are several examples where we together will create the equation of a line given a slope and a y-intercept. Throughout the class I will be asking questions of the learners and getting them to interact. At the end of the class I cover the one exception where the formula cannot be used to find the equation of a line.
