Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 5
Beginner Level
Learners will enhance their foundational skills in math, reading comprehension, and writing. Each session integrates engaging activities to build confidence and fluency across these essential subjects.

What Topics Will You Cover?
Math: Basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), solving word problems, and introducing patterns or shapes (depending on the age group).
Reading: Developing comprehension strategies, identifying main ideas, themes, and characters, and practicing vocabulary.
Writing: Sentence structure, grammar basics, and creative or structured writing (short stories, journal prompts, or opinion writing).

Each one-hour session is divided into three parts:

Math (20 minutes)

Quick review of prior concepts.
Introduction of a new topic or problem-solving strategy.
Interactive exercises, like games or challenges, to reinforce learning.
Reading (20 minutes)

Reading a short passage or story.
Discussing key elements like plot, characters, or new vocabulary.
Answering comprehension questions to practice critical thinking.
Writing (20 minutes)

Guided brainstorming activity or prompt.
Writing a short paragraph or story with guidance.
Sharing ideas (optional) and receiving positive feedback.

I will use a variety of teaching methods to keep the class engaging and interactive:

Slides for visual explanations of math problems and reading concepts.
Group readings and guided discussions to encourage participation.
Games, polls, and collaborative exercises to reinforce learning.
Writing prompts and shared feedback to inspire creativity and skill-building.

My teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and interactive. I focus on making learning enjoyable by incorporating games, creative activities, and real-world examples. I also adapt my teaching to meet the unique needs of each learner, ensuring everyone feels confident and included.
