Drawing a Fun Character using LINES and SHAPES
In this sample course, students will create their own cartoon character using 2 essential principles of art: line and shape. This is a great intro class for kids to brush up on simple drawing skills and have fun making a silly character.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
We will be using mainly lines and shapes to draw a cartoon character step by step. We will start in pencil and should finish our characters in color. Each student will choose different accessories and facial features to make their character unique to them. This is a fun and easy way to brush up on drawing skills and check out Ms. Merkle's teaching style. We will be covering the following elements & principles of art: line, shape, texture, color, value and repetition.
