Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this class, students will learn the basics of crochet, including chain stitches, while working on simple projects (such as scarves, slippers, book covers or blankets). The class is structured to balance demonstration, guided practice, and time for students to explore their creativity at their own pace. We start a project in class and learners can create at their own pace. The ability to schedule a lesson within their own pace and schedule can be accommodated if a private session is preferred. My teaching style is relaxed and encouraging, celebrating creating something useful and emphasizing the journey of that creation and not perfection. Students will enjoy a supportive environment with opportunities to share their progress, ask questions, and personalize their projects.

Learning Goals

Experience the relaxing and mindful nature of crochet, focusing on the process rather than the outcome.

Parental Guidance
This class is beginner-friendly and designed to be relaxing and self-paced. Parents are encouraged to provide a quiet, comfortable workspace and ensure students have their supplies ready before class. Subsequent lessons will be scheduled every 2-4 weeks giving learners time to practise, time to create on their own, and allowing learners time to advance in their project in order to bring questions to their next session. Private sessions can also be scheduled if required.
