Assessment
My goal is that every child will learn the techniques during class, and the assessment will come at the end in the form of an encouraging review, or as a direct Congratulations. My expectation is that each child will have learned the techniques for each fascinating breath, and a lot more.

Class Experience

Important Notes:
All of my classes are inclusive.
Classes are suitable for the neurodiverse child.
CEFR: All levels.
Class can be requested to be taught in Spanish.

This is a mindful Yoga class in the branch of Pranayamas or breathing control exercises that is sweet, fun, and will enhance Learner's wellbeing in the moment, while also creating an awareness of how to best self regulate through our friend, the breath.

We will cover a variation of breathing exercises, such as diaphragmatic breathing, humming bee, bunny, among others (for releasing/centering, relaxing/healing and balancing).

The class will begin with a virtual circle where learner will be invited to feel comfortable and share if they know anything about Yoga. We will then cover different techniques following learner cues as to what they need the most.

Teaching style is inclusive, kind, caring, respectful of your learner's personality, interactive, based on feeling connected, with playful participation and self-observation.

Class may be repeated for wellbeing support as each class will pursue the same goal, but include different types of breathing exercises. There is no requirement for this class. Due to the nature of this class, Learner is required to keep mic and video on during the class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn 3 specific breathing techniques from the yogic tradition that they will be able to practice in the future when they would like to center, relax, and/or balance. Any one of these techniques has the gift of helping reestablish well-being at all levels, and as needed for their different life situations, such as prior to recitals, preparing to go to sleep, or any occasion they may need some me-time.
