The Building Bricks Club is a relaxed atmosphere where students can come each week to build together, be creative, and have fun. This is an ongoing club that will meet once a week focusing on exercising your creative muscles and having fun at the same time. - Skills students will be developing include: creative and abstract thinking, collaboration, brainstorming, trial and error, problem solving, decision making, communication skills, socializing, public speaking, and taking turns.
I am a certified teacher who loves to make learning enjoyable for students. We will learn by doing and having fun!
Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: Observation. Additional encouragement and instruction will be provided as needed.
Building bricks, blocks, or other building toys (no specific type or amount required)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents are encouraged to be nearby in case there are any issues (i.e. technology, etc.) that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, I cannot address technical issues from my side. Please make sure your child knows how to find and use the Mute/Unmute button. There are times when a child’s background is noisy. Their mic will be muted by the teacher so the class and the learning and thinking processes are not disrupted. Your child will then have to unmute their mic in order to talk. Zoom will not allow teachers to unmute mics anymore. **Each child must be registered to attend the class, however, siblings can share a screen to participate in the class. I will be offering the Building Bricks Club at different times and on different days in order to accommodate more students and students in different time zones. Please only sign-up for one section.
