In this class, students will be introduced to the 6 stages of a the pumpkin life cycle (seed, sprout, vine, flower, green pumpkin, mature pumpkin). ORDER OF CLASS 1. Pumpkin life cycle presentation 2. Cutting and pasting labels 3. Sketch pumpkin 4. Color pumpkin 5. Chat about other plant/animal life cycles LEARNING GOALS -My goal for your child's science experience is to encourage curiosity. I believe the best way to learn is to work through problems. I don't believe that just telling answers to a student will help them in the long run. I enjoy passing scientific information to students through question-focused, learner-driven teaching. They should guide the class and arrive at the conclusion logically. This encourages critical thinking and problem solving. -My goal for your child’s art experience is easily summed up in one word—FUN! I believe that art is for everyone. Anyone can draw, anyone can create, anyone can imagine. Sometimes, though, students can become intimidated by art. This can happen because of criticism, comparison to other students, or even an older sibling excelling. My desire is for those hurdles to be dismantled by giving learners a relaxed, no-judgement, exciting art experience. SUPPLIES NEEDED -Printed worksheet with labels (separate page) -Pencil -Eraser -Black marker -Crayons (or other medium to color with) LEARNER INTERACTION -Students will discuss the next steps in the pumpkin life cycle together. -Casual conversation is encouraged during the color portion. LEARNERS' PRIOR EXPERIENCE Students should be able to -engage in a conversation about pumpkin life cycles in a respectful, differential way. -follow simple drawing directions -trace -color *generally* within the lines

I truly believe art class is for EVERYONE, not just the natural artist. The scientist, nature-lover, athlete, wanna-be vet, and gamer can all find fun and a sense of accomplishment in art.
That’s why I’ve made my brand ARTventurous Animals.
My classes are engaging, full of animals and adventure, and uncomplicated 🎨
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and have taught in a brick-and-mortar classroom for 4 years. But even after substituting, teaching 3rd grade, teaching Kindergarten, and teaching English in Thailand, being an online art teacher has been my favorite! I now have 3 years of online teaching experience.
I believe children should be guided to be their best self. This means creating extra tasks for gifted students, challenging the average, and reaching out and individually assisting the reluctant learners. I also believe that art is for everyone! Anyone can draw, anyone can create, anyone can imagine.
A fun fact about me is that I live in Bangkok, Thailand! I have also been to 18 countries on 3 different continents.
My husband and I have 2 wonderful little kids. They're the reason I’ve chosen to be an online teacher and stay-at-home mom.
