Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 7
Beginner Level
🎨 Learn how to draw 3D shapes by diving into the element of form through seasons!
This course is ideal for 3rd-7th graders.

❄️ We'll dive deep into the traditional element of form (3D shapes), and then mix it with plant life through the lens of seasons!

🍄 In this mini nature art course, your learner will learn all about plants through art. Using easy-to-access materials, learners create drawings and projects that reflect the plant-topic of the week.

{Class Schedule}
Week 1: Two videos/projects teaching your child about the element of form, how to spot it, and how to draw with it.
Week 2: Two videos/projects discovering how plants behave in certain seasons--while also learning to sketch with basic forms.
Week 3: Scavenger hunt video where your child can go outside and gather nature items that represent the season you're in for the final project. The 2nd video combines everything your student has learned into one final project.

{Changing the schedule}
Does this schedule not align with your homeschool? No worries! Save the links you receive each week and spread them out over a whole year of school.

{How it works}
In this class, you get 2 video art lessons per week. That totals to 5 ART VIDEO LESSONS and 1 NATURE SCAVENGER HUNT!
I've set up this mini-course to be done within 3 weeks. However, there is SO much content in here that it could easily be spread out into 1-2 months.

{Extra info}
-Younger students (6-8) are allowed to take this class. However, if your learner does not have a strong drawing hand yet, I would encourage you to be ready to assist or to pair them with an older sibling.
-Optional: You can place all the finished drawings and projects into a 3-ring binder (I did!). They're all vertical so it works nicely. This also creates a great resource for future reference.

Want more? This is a full nature art course that can be sped-up to fit one semester, or stretched to fit a full year of art.

Lesson 3:

 Seasons are an important way to tell what time in the year it is, but they also provide cycles for plants to live and grow in.

Also, the seasons you experience might be different for someone living in a different part of the world!

 Get ready to sketch some objects from the 4 seasons!
Take each part one step at a time. You’ll be surprised how amazing they turn out at the end!
