Beginner Level
Jump in at any time into this easy entry art class! Your learner will be traveling around the world with animal friends as we learn the elements of art, discover how to draw, and even practice some art journaling along the way. This class is perfect for... 🎨 learners who love animals + art and also need a regular art class 🎨 learners who love art but don't want a high intensity class 🎨 learners who are ready to learn the basics of art 🎨 learners who are at a Pre-A1 level of English and want to practice through art 🎨 learners who DON'T love art, but love animals + adventure Each class is based on an animal from one of the 7 continents. Whatever class you join on could be a different art project about that topic. For example, we could be learning to draw Andy the poison dart frog, or we could be discovering color temperature in the Amazon rainforest. We might be art journaling about tigers in Asia, or we might be making a 3D tiger project. Each class requires basic art supplies and a printed worksheet from my Animal Art Journal. Having these items prepared beforehand is how I can keep this class to 25 minutes. It also makes it fun to complete each art activity and add to your learners growing art portfolio! My teaching style is based on 4 main concepts: creativity, risk-taking, problem-solving, and FUN! I lead my students in an ART-ffirmation each class that goes like this: "I am creative, I am brave, I am clever, and this is going to be fun!" This prepares us all to think outside the box, try new things, fix mistakes we make, and enjoy the process! I love constant interaction from my learners, especially since this is a shorter class. They should feel energized and ready to keep creating even after the class ends! As a parent of 2 kids, I feel like communication with my learners grown-ups is vital. Please talk to me about anything and everything! You are the key to your child's successful art education. Are you ready for an ARTventure?
