Travel With Animal Art Projects! Group for Artventurous Kids
What's included
Group experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Our group is all about exploring the amazing animals in our world through art! We highlight well-known and unique animals. Some of them can get kind of crazy! Each week, learners are presented with an animal from a continent or region of the world. Learners will get info about the animal and region of the world. Then, they'll watch a video or follow a tutorial that guides them through drawing/craft. WHAT'S INCLUDED: 🎨Video or step-by-step tutorials 🎨Immediate access to over 25 art projects 🎨Facilitated by an art teacher 🎨World travel through animals and art! Here's how they interact in the group each week: The assignment: Learners follow the instructions I give to draw, paint, color, and create! The interaction: Students are encouraged to talk to each other for ideas AND to share their projects by uploading a picture. Kind comments and encouragement is what this group is all about! My job: Every Monday, I’ll be sending the animal of the week. I’ll give some direction and instruction through video or images, and then they’re off! I’ll be encouraging students to ask me questions that can help them dive into the animal of the week. I will be monitoring all comments as soon as they're posted. Here's an overview of the animals & region for each week: SOUTH AMERICA January 29th - Jaguar Sketch and Paint February 5th - Peanut the Scarlet Macaw Craft February 12th - Andy the Poison Dart Frog Color and Journal CENTRAL AMERICA Feb. 19th - Kenny the Quetzal Draw Feb. 26th - Coatimundi Directed Drawing March 4th - 3D Sloth craft NORTH AMERICA Red fox - fox facts page March 11th Bald Eagle - dd March 18th Monarch - life cycle spinner March 25th WESTERN EUROPE April 1st - Otter Craft April 8th - Eurasian Lynx Sketch April 15th - Narwhal Directed Drawing EASTERN EUROPE April 22nd - Grey Wold Sketch April 29th - Bat Directed Drawing May 6th - Swan Craft ALREADY POSTED: Australia, Polynesia, Far East Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Central Asia, SW Asia, North Africa, Central Africa, Southern Africa, Antarctica EXAMPLE POST: Oaklie the Okapi 🌿 Okapis are cute, shy, and ..... zebras?? Our project today is a fun one! Click the first link to print out your okapi clipart pieces, then click the second link to watch the video tutorial on how to build your own jungle for her to hide in. Hi! I’m Ms. Abbey.
I teach kids to love art through animals, travel, and step-by-step instruction.
I truly believe art class is for EVERYONE, not just the natural artist. The scientist, nature-lover, athlete, wanna-be vet, and gamer can all find fun and a sense of accomplishment in art.
That’s why I’ve made my brand ARTventurous Animals.
My classes are engaging, full of animals and adventure, and uncomplicated 🎨
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and have taught in a brick-and-mortar classroom for 4 years. But even after substituting, teaching 3rd grade, teaching Kindergarten, and teaching English in Thailand, being an online art teacher has been my favorite! I now have 3 years of online teaching experience.
I believe children should be guided to be their best self. This means creating extra tasks for gifted students, challenging the average, and reaching out and individually assisting the reluctant learners. I also believe that art is for everyone! Anyone can draw, anyone can create, anyone can imagine.
A fun fact about me is that I live in Bangkok, Thailand! I have also been to 18 countries on 3 different continents.
My husband and I have 2 wonderful little kids. They're the reason I’ve chosen to be an online teacher and stay-at-home mom.
My ARTventurous Animals brand has lots more than just classes! Check it out here--> https://artventurousanimals.com/
