What's included
Class Experience
In this private class, learners will work on activities introducing or building on their knowledge of the brain and behaviour. This can include a wide range of topics, including brain anatomy, the nervous system, cognitive neuroscience, social psychology, learning and memory, research methods, or the history of psychology and neuroscience. The class structure is flexible to the interests and requirements of each learner, but is likely to include elements such as video lecture and responses, a "teach me your assigned reading" approach, quiz questions, guided notes, essay skills and feedback, and diagram-drawing/labelling. Different approaches also suit different topics - so you don't have to commit to just one style! If there are activities that you like or dislike, I will take this into account when planning your sessions. This class is perfect for learners who are interested in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, Anatomy, Medicine, or Psychobiology. No specific knowledge is needed to take this class. (If you have studied any Psychology or Neuroscience before, please let me know so that I can take your previous knowledge into account when planning videos and activities for you). Please note that this is a FLEX-style, asynchronous class, with NO LIVE MEETINGS. Learners/parents should send an initial message outlining their personal aims/areas of focus. The interaction will begin with video-lessons/tasks posted by the teacher. The learner can view and work on these at any time during the week, post their own videos, questions, and assigned work, and the teacher will respond by text or with a short video. There will be up to 60 minutes of teacher video per week, however, custom sections can be created for learners who would like a more intensive experience. By default, this class lasts for 1 week, but if you would like your experience to last longer, please let me know when signing up, to receive a custom link, or simply sign up again for another week each time!
