Students in this class practice:

-matching words to pictures
-playing "I Spy" 
-making words with short vowels, blends, and digraphs
-reading a phonics-controlled short vowel passage

I use activities that are engaging, fun and interesting. Children receive immediate feedback on their work, and are encouraged to always do their best. I explain to children that we always learn from our mistakes so that children don't need to fear making them.
