US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
This playful PreK circle time class will focus on a full year of PreK learning topics. Alphabet, early phonics, numbers 1-20, vocabulary, shapes, patterns, science and social emotional learning! This class will meet twice a week and there will be 2 themes a month that we will use to cover learning concepts. This class will focus on all areas of development: Literacy: Letter names, beginning letter sounds, rhyming, syllables, pre reading concepts Math: Counting, 1-1 correspondence, number identification, shapes, patterns, more or less. Fine Motor and Writing: Fine motor skills development, letter formation, writing letters, shapes, numbers, drawing and labeling. Speech and Language: Vocabulary, listening, speaking. Social Emotional Development: Feelings, calming strategies, taking turns, friendship, kindness. STEAM: Creativity, exploration, cause and effect and more! Each class will use pictures, games, songs and movement to work on these learning concepts throughout each circle time class. Children will have a chance to talk and share with other learners as well. Each class will start with greetings a question of the day and a song. We will then move into learning activities and games. We will do movement and end the class with an exit question where children will get to share with other learners. A sample circle time would look like this: Week 1: Welcome and School and Fall Theme Day 1: We will start with introductions and songs and answer a question of the day. Children will have a chance to share their answers with the class. We will introduce our theme of School and Fall and do an alphabet activity and letters of the week to go along with it. We will do a math and movement game next with "Falling leaves". We will end our circle time with a fun exit question. Parents can check the classroom for additional, optional printable activities related to our theme after each week. Letters of the week E. Math concept: numbers 1-10. Rhyming Activity. Week 6, Week of October 14: Letters of the week F . Vocabulary activity. Fine Motor writing Activity. Social emotional activity. *Week 7, Week of October 21: Theme: Pumpkins. Letter of the week G. Math: Numbers 1-10 in print and counting. Art, fine motor activity. OFF SPRING BREAK week of MARCH 23 After week 25 we will continue twice a week meetings and reassess themes based on student interest and votes and continue building on topics such as letters, early phonics, Numbers 1-20, shapes, simple patterns, fine motor skills, art, social emotional learning and science! I will post an updated theme list in our classroom.

Supply List
Learners should have access to paper and a writing and drawing utensil like pencil, crayons, markers. Learners will sometimes need small manipulatives like counting toys, blocks, pom poms to count and pattern with.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am a licensed/certified teacher in grades preschool- elementary. I have 15+ years of experience teaching in and working in preschool and elementary classrooms where I created playful lessons to include all learners. I also have years of experience tutoring 1-1.
