Pay It Forward Day 2024!
Pay It Forward Day in April, 2024 is a global initiative that makes a difference by creating random acts of kindness. We will create a list of ideas together as a class. Whether there is art, music, baking, cooking, gardening, singing, or dancing, we will think of ways to touch others' lives, while we learn about this special day. Students who join the class can make plans to "Pay It Forward" in their community with family and friends.

Random acts of kindness with the guidance and direction of their parent or guardian.Class Experience
In a time like this especially we can reach out to others and Pay It Forward! We will talk about the history of this day and why it was started. This initiative is aiming to inspire over 10 million acts of kindness around the world on April 28th. I started doing this with my 2 boys when they were in elementary school and it has impacted their lives greatly. To be more aware of others' needs and reach out to show kindness randomly when someone may need it the most. I can hardly wait to see the ripple effect it has around the world in 2023. Come join the Pay It Forward class and then start the ripple in your neighborhood! * We will create our own list in our class together. The students can share these ideas with their families.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how Pay It Forward Day started. They will learn how they too can be a part of these random acts of kindness in their families and neighborhoods. We will talk about the students' ideas in class. They can work on implementing them with their family's guidance on Pay It Forward Day April 28th.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Pennsylvania State University
I have always had a passion for helping others and this is why I am a Nurse. Giving back to the community and paying it forward is something I wanted to instill in my own children. To see the looks on my children's face when we would pay for other families in line at the checkout or drive-thru restaurant would let me know, "Yes, this is why I am here." I want to share my ideas and thoughts and hear from other children in class as to what they might want to do to "Pay It Forward." Then they can share these ideas with their family and touch countless lives in our world today.
