Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 11
Advanced Level
In this class, we will learn the art of public speaking. Based on the text speech for everyday, we learn public speaking will come in handy as you enter your upper level high-school years as well as for the rest of your life. From college and beyond into the work place, being able to speak and compose yourself correctly can help you succeed.

This class is part 1 of 2 sections. There will be memorization of poems and other famous speeches. We will have several assignments and the student will be required to submit them for feedback. Make sure that the student has access to classic speeches or something they want to present, such as a science presentation. All speech presentation materials must be evaluated. The teacher will evaluate whether the material is acceptable for the class or will provide the student with other options. We will have various homework assignments that the teacher will provide if necessary.

Remember to have a notebook ready and be able to participate in class. Don't be scared to make mistakes, we are all human and we will get better with time. At the end of the course the students should be able present a speech from memory and will be given an oral evaluation after class.

PART 2- Coming soon. Will be release in Spring 2025

Classroom rules: All students should be respectful to each other and conduct themselves in a professional manner. No hats or chewing gum or foul language. Bullying is unacceptable to both to the student and/ or teacher. If the student misbehaves inappropriately, they will be removed from the class immediately and the parent(s) will be contacted. We have to have a welcoming environment and a safe place for everyone and all students.

I hope to see you in class very soon, so we can learn together to become better public speakers.
