Assessment
I will do an initial assessment to figure out what letters, shapes and numbers we need to focus on. I will use discussions and testing to determine where a student is needing help through songs, games and other assessments.

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool
Do you feel your child could use a little more help with identifying the letters in their name? How about letter identification or the letter sounds each one makes? Do you feel they need help identifying numbers or counting skills?
Does your child still struggle with lowercase letters or matching the uppercase letters with their lowercase letter counterpart?
Do you feel your child needs a more one on one approach to learning to increase their kindergarten readiness or extra help in their kindergarten skills?
I offer one on one sessions to help your child learn the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
I can help your child learn the letters in their name through fun games.
For letter recognition and sounds we will play games, and read short books and identify what words and pictures start with each letter and the sounds they make.
I can help with number skills such as identifying numbers, correlating one to one correspondence, creating sets, simple counting as well as addition and subtraction help.
Our first few sessions will be for assessments to see where your child is at developmentally and discuss what you are looking for in the way of instruction. Are you more concerned about letters or numbers? Do they know their letters but not the sounds they make?
A dry erase board, eraser and dry erase marker or crayon will be needed for our tutoring session as well as playdough or clay. We will not be using these items every class but I would like to have them on hand.
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence as we learn and enforce the skills we are working on such as letters, numbers, letter sounds and more
