Want to make a mummy? In this class, we will take a trip to ancient Egypt and learn all about the mummification process by mummifying a doll or large action figure! Learners will be introduced to the role of mummies in ancient Egypt. They will then be led step by step through the mummification process, while acting out each step on their own doll. At the end of the class, learners will walk away with a new mummified toy. I am an elementary school educator who has experience teaching ancient civilizations to students. I have also taken courses in the history of ancient Egypt. I can't wait to introduce the wonders of ancient Egypt to learners in a fun, hands-on way.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the importance of mummies in ancient Egypt and the steps that were undertaken to make a mummy.
