- how to order fractions using pictures
- that math and art have more in common than they think
Homework Offered
Students will be able to finish the art project in class. They will be introduced to an exploration-based website that they can use to explore various math concepts, if they wish.
Assessments Offered
Each learner will be assessed informally, with feedback given in class. Parents will also receive a short message with comments about their child's learning in the class. The focus of all assessment will be on what the student has learned and can do rather than what they can't.
Grades Offered
Learners will need blank paper, coloured construction paper, a pencil, scissors, a glue stick, a ruler, and pencil crayons or markers. A square piece of cardboard might be fun to have but is not a necessity. If you do not have any of the materials, you can buy any of them at a local dollar store for four dollars or less.
