No formal assessment will be required. Parents are welcome to test the student's acquisition of knowledge by requesting recitation of the phonetic alphabet, checking for understanding of learned acronyms, and asking your child to sing a cadence.Class Experience
The course will be presented by power-point. Students will be taught the phonetic alphabet, several common Military acronyms, and 3-4 cadences (depending on time available in class). A cadence in military is a manner of singing using call and response. I will teach both the songs and the manner in which they are sung. Cadences used will be of a family friendly nature. Students will have 5-10 minutes to ask any questions they have about the Military. You may want to provide your child the opportunity to think about questions prior to class. I will not be answering questions regarding weaponry or loss of life. Such questions are not conducive to a group course.If your child has questions related to weaponry, he or she can email me privately. I will also allow students the opportunity to share why he/she is interested in the Military. Please remind your student that this is not an opportunity to discuss weaponry or loss of life.

W is Whiskey in the phonetic alphabet. My slide show will include a bottle of whiskey as an image to help students remember the phonetic letter W. The image will be clipart and no brand name will be on the image.
