This course will be scheduled for 15 minutes. After class time has ended, I will open the floor to allow for any additional questions. It is possible that class could extend up to an additional 5 minutes should students need it. This course is an introduction to action verbs. In this course, your student will learn what an action verb is and will be acting out various action verbs that princesses do. By the end of our lesson, your student will be able to identify an action verb as something we can do with our body. During this class, your child will learn with the whole group and will apply their knowledge individually. This class involves movement and discussion. This is a fun and engaging class. Your student is welcome to wear a princess outfit to class. Below is the breakdown of our lesson. As a group: Students will be introduced to the definition of an action verb. They will learn that an action verb is an action we can do with our body. We will brainstorm a list of action words The students will share different actions. We will act out the action verbs. We will be adding action verbs to the chat-box. The students will also be given verbs. Some of the verbs will be action verbs, and some of the verbs will not be action verbs. The students will place the verbs into a chart: Action Verbs / Not an Action Verb. The students will take turns acting out action verbs and other students will try to guess the verb. During the last few minutes of class, each student will write down an action verb and use it in a sentence. Allowing,everyone a chance to show mastery of the skill. Learning Goals
