Welcome! From teaching math in a school to online classes, and even teaching my own, I understand how frustrated some students may become when they face mathematical obstacles! I am here for you – and them. I specialize in patiently explaining several different techniques and how to master each algebraic skill. I have my BA in Education for College of Florida and am in process of completing my Master's in Education. However, I have been teaching in the classroom for 30 years. I have enjoyed teaching Arithmetic, Prealgebra, and Algebra in the classroom, for homeschool students, and online for the last eight years. Overall, while teaching algebra for over 5 years, I have honed my teaching to make algebraic skills relatable to the students. My passion is to show them that they are more than capable of mastering the material!
Homework Offered
Out of the Student Workbook, the student will be encouraged to complete 4-6 worksheets weekly. *This is a physical workbook/test book set, so please order at least 2 weeks before class begins! Paper and writing tools for notes Ruler0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The teacher will grade homework, quizzes, and end-of-course assessment. Grade/percentage will be given at the end of the course. Note: I intend to keep an open dialogue with parents/guardians throughout the course. I will let you know what the learner is excelling at and if they encounter any challenges.Grades Offered
Students must have the Math-U-See student workbook: https://store.demmelearning.com/algebra-1-student-pack.html Also, your student should come prepared with paper, pencils, and a ruler.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
