What will be taught:
Students learn subtracting is almost identical to subtracting whole numbers
Students learn the decimal is always placed to the right of a whole number.
Students learn annexing zeros to the right of the decimal number will not change its value.
Students learn at the end of the lesson to subtract decimals how to place the number in a vertical column with one decimal point directly beneath the other. 
Students learn to place the decimal point in the answer directly below the decimal points in the numbers above.
Students learn to subtract the numbers as you would with whole numbers. 
Students who take this class must know how to subtract with whole numbers. 
How will it be taught:
Some Nearpod, slides and engaging with white board will be used or doc.cam. 
Worksheets will be provided with answer keys for more practice at home.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
