This is a class is for learners to gain math confidence and begin forming a strong math foundation. The math skills for this class will include addition, addition math facts plus 1, addition doubles math facts, math word problems and math riddles. We will practice mental math and counting on and counting back strategies with addition. I will use games, songs and hands on activities to teach this class. I believe learning should be fun, as well as educational. If you are interested in a time slot that I have not listed, please reach out and I may be able to accommodate your schedule. Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.
I graduated with a bachelor degree in education. I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years. I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults. I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages. I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!
I believe that learning should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class. I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience.
In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
