What will be taught? In this on-demand tutoring session, high school students will learn how to use Canva, a powerful graphic design tool, to create professional and visually appealing presentations and other school-related projects. Students will gain a solid understanding of Canva’s interface, tools, and features, enabling them to produce high-quality, creative work for their academic needs. What topics will you cover? Introduction to Canva: Overview of the platform, navigating the interface, and understanding the available tools. Creating Presentations: Step-by-step guidance on designing impactful presentations, including selecting templates, customizing slides, and adding multimedia elements. Designing Creative Projects: Exploration of Canva’s design capabilities beyond presentations, including posters, flyers, infographics, and social media graphics. Design Best Practices: Tips on choosing color schemes, fonts, and layouts to enhance readability and visual appeal. Personalizing Your Work: Techniques for customizing templates and adding personal touches to make your projects unique. How is your class structured? This is a one-on-one, personalized tutoring session that is flexible to the student’s schedule. Each session will last approximately 60 minutes, during which time we will focus on the student’s specific needs and project goals. The session will be interactive and tailored to the learner's pace and skill level. How will you teach? My teaching approach is hands-on and student-centered. I will guide learners through the process of using Canva with live demonstrations, allowing them to follow along and create their own projects in real-time. We will work collaboratively, and I will provide immediate feedback and suggestions to help students improve their designs. The session will be highly interactive, with opportunities for students to ask questions and receive individualized support. What's your teaching style? I believe in a supportive and encouraging teaching style that focuses on building confidence in learners. My sessions are interactive, engaging, and tailored to the unique needs of each student. I prioritize practical, real-world applications of the skills being taught, ensuring that students can immediately apply what they learn to their school projects. How much will learners get to interact with you? This is a highly interactive tutoring session where the student will have my full attention. The session will be conducted live, and I will provide step-by-step guidance throughout the process. Students will be encouraged to ask questions, share their screens, and work on their designs in real-time, ensuring a dynamic and collaborative learning experience.
