Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 4
Beginner Level
Welcome to the writing class! Students will explore a range of topics. I will use presentations, videos, and visuals for student engagement. The primary focus is on Fictional Writing, however, I do sprinkle in Personal Narrative as it complements fictional writing nicely.

Students will learn how to brainstorm and organize their ideas or information chronologically. Each week, students will be asked to write a story based on a writing prompt. Afterward, they will write a paragraph. I will also reinforce grammar, sentence fluency, word choice, etc through some writing activities ranging from collaborative writing to individual writing. Students will also have some take-home activities as well! Students are encouraged to hand in their writing which I will assess from Monday to Thursday. I ask that students do their best to edit using the writing checklist I provided in the welcome post.
