This weekly grammar, sentence structure, and paragraph writing class is for you! Each week, we will focus on one Star Wars topic and write about that topic. At the beginning of each class, students may share one Star Wars item with the class. There are two formats for this class: Sentence Structure or Grammar and Paragraph Writing. During the sentence structure and grammar classes, we will review what a sentence is and discuss of the grammar skill or type of sentence. We will write sentences together using fill-in-the-blank sentences and either Find it! or Fix it! in some sentences. Children will then have writing time, where they will have the choice to write sentences as a group or independently. We will end with sharing the sentences from independent writing time. During the Paragraph Writing classes (every 2-3 weeks), we will brainstorm topics for paragraphs. Then, we will write a paragraph (or advanced writers can write more) while working along a guided presentation. We will share our sentences throughout class, and share our paragraphs at the end of class. Students can join in at any time to this weekly class. After enrolling, I will attach any worksheets in the classroom. Please have them printed before class. There are currently 34 class topics, which will run from August - May. June and July will have select weeks repeated.
