Students will receive an in-depth lesson on what long division is, how to rewrite an equation, and the steps of the long division process. Once the student is familiar with the steps of long division, they will be provided with a list of long division questions. First, the student will answer the equation by telling the teacher what to write. As the teacher, I will correct the student of any errors as we complete every question. When I feel the student is ready to work on their own, they will be provided with questions to do. I will be observing how they structure the equation, and will be looking out for any mathematical errors. Towards the end of class, the student will get the chance to chose between working on word problems or practicing harder long division questions. The student is expected to have basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division skills. The student may use a calculator if they are still working on their multiplication skills.

Students are required to have a piece of paper/notebook, a pencil, and eraser. Calculators are optional.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
