Class Experience

This one time self-paced class will focus on the letter and sound for Dd. Learners will learn sounds through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches, proven effective for dyslexic learners. 

Learners will say and write letter Dd and sound /d/ simultaneously to master the consonant sounds. True mastery of alphabetic knowledge is when a learner hears a sound, the learner can write the letter that makes that sound. This class will give your learner the necessary skills to reach mastery. 

Lessons are aligned to Common Core Standards relating to Phonics and Foundational skills standards. Lessons are aligned to Orton-Gillingham curriculum.

This class is designed for learners as a first time exposure to the letter and sound for Dd, learners who are struggling with the letter and sound for Dd, or learners who would like a review of letter and sound for Dd. Also, this class is also great for learners with dyslexia or dysgraphia! 

This one-time self-paced class will include the following structure:
-Introduce new letter and sound
-Build vocabulary aligned to the sound by "opening" items in a virtual mystery box
-Practice writing the sound

Students will learn to identify uppercase and lowercase Dd and the sound /d/.
