Winter Writing Activities (First Grade FLEX Class)

In this 2-week Winter FLEX class, students will work on a short writing activity each week.
These writing activities will focus on writing short phrases and sentences.

(see schedule of writing activities below). 

~Reminder that for a FLEX class, there will be no live meetings. There will be pre-recorded video lessons and opportunity to interact with the teacher and other students via posting to the classroom page.

Classes will involve teacher-led explanation and modeling of how to do each writing activity, as well as how to brainstorm ideas, and also the opportunity for students to share their writing with the group via the classroom page!

The best way for students (aka "emerging writers") to become better writers...is to spend more time writing! 



Schedule of Winter Flex Writing Activities (over just 2 weeks! )

1. "Winter activities" writing ~ students will write words and phrases about what they enjoy doing during the winter.


2. "How To Build a snowman" writing ~ teacher will model "how-to" writing process, and students then have the opportunity to write their own for with steps for something they know how to do well/could teach to others in 4 simple steps
