In this one-time class, we will learn about the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shevat through song, instrument play & creative movement. Tu B'Shevat is sometimes called the "Birthday of the Trees". We will learn about the "7 Species" - wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives & dates, and how they relate to this holiday. Songs we will sing: I'm a Tree, Plant a Tree, I Like to Eat This class will be taught from a secular and educational perspective in keeping with Outschool's policies. Learners are welcome to share what their families like to do for different holidays.
