Join an exciting holiday expedition to visit the Arctic and meet reindeer! Become a wildlife explorer and discover the reindeer habitat, predators, and unique facts about these incredible animals, also known as caribou.

Then, use your imagination and transform into a reindeer!

Learn and play on this interactive holiday adventure to the North Pole!
- Wiggle your head and antlers in the snow to search for moss and lemmings.
- Dodge animal predators, including: a pack of wolves and a polar bear.
- Gain reindeer superpowers of excellent senses of smell and sight.

By the end of this interactive lesson, learners will be able to answer questions including:
- Is it true that reindeer change eye color and fur color as the seasons change?
- Do female reindeer also have antlers, or is it just the male reindeer that do?
- Are reindeer the type of animals called carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores?
- How do reindeer use their hooves to walk on ice without slipping?

Our adventure will also include a coloring project. At the end of our imaginative expedition, learners can share their reindeer artworks.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. My mom taught at a bilingual elementary school in the South Bronx. I always admired the way she spent countless hours preparing for classes and the way she loved her job. I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps.

Most of my eight years of teaching has been in the museum education field. I have taught hands-on arts classes in science, art, and history museums in Florida and Massachusetts, as well as abroad in Costa Rica.

I live in Florida with my husband and our cat, Patrick. I have a B.A. in Art History degree as well as a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Florida. Additionally, while I was working in a history museum in Boston, I took evening classes in Art Education at Harvard.

I believe that learning should always be engaging and fun. My experience has taught me that most children learn and retain information the best when the lesson is hands-on. My classes have educational topics that incorporate an arts and crafts activity.

I look forward to the opportunity to teach your children in a fun and creative way. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
