This class will cover the basics of singing including vocal warm-ups, proper breathing techniques, performance, and strategies for dealing with stage fright. Students will learn how to prepare their voices for singing in a healthy way while also connecting with the emotions and performance of the song. Most of the class will be full group participation with opportunities to sing solo if desired. I am a singer-songwriter in Nashville and have a huge passion for music. I am excited to share my experience and knowledge with your learner. I strive to create a warm and exciting environment where all my students feel safe to sing and let their voices be heard. No prior music experience is necessary for this introductory class.

Hello parents and learners! I am a Theater teacher as well as a professional actress, voice-over artist, and singer. I teach a variety of classes dedicated to theater and music. I invite you to check out my online classroom!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts and 13 years of experience working in Theater Arts and Music education with all ages from toddlers to adults. I worked as a theater and music teaching artist at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 8 years as well as the Disney Musicals in Schools program bringing the magic of Disney to elementary and middle schools.
I have worked at The Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, Ohio bringing classic theater to grades K-12 as both a professional actor and teacher and I am a former vocal coach at the School of Rock.
I love teaching and giving my students the necessary tools to become theater and music artists themselves. My goal is to build their confidence and help them make a personal connection with what they are learning. And of course, have fun along the way!
I am a mommy to a sweet 5-year-old boy, 3 year old girl and a brand new baby boy. I am also married to a wonderful fellow Outschool music teacher named Jared. I have an adorable dog named Walt who you may even see in the classroom. See ya soon!
