1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this ongoing class, we will meet once a week to explore the world of the theater as a drama club. We will play games, improvise, socialize with like-minded peers, and work on acting with emotion using our bodies and facial expressions. We will also explore different types of theater depending on the week such as puppetry, musical theater, and Shakespeare. This is a great course for beginners who are curious about theater and would love to see what all the fuss is about. The theater is such an amazing way for children to gain confidence and do what they do best: play! Each class will be full of acting games for kids. We will also practice reading from simple scripts to help build confidence in literacy and reading aloud. I strive to create a warm and friendly community for students where they can be themselves and enjoy what they are learning. All acting levels are welcome!
Learning Goals
Learning goals include: vocal projection, using facial expressions and body to portray emotions, reading aloud with confidence, characterization, and social skills

Hello parents and learners! I am a Theater teacher as well as a professional actress, voice-over artist, and singer. I teach a variety of classes dedicated to theater and music. I invite you to check out my online classroom!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts and 13 years of experience working in Theater Arts and Music education with all ages from toddlers to adults. I worked as a theater and music teaching artist at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 8 years as well as the Disney Musicals in Schools program bringing the magic of Disney to elementary and middle schools.
I have worked at The Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, Ohio bringing classic theater to grades K-12 as both a professional actor and teacher and I am a former vocal coach at the School of Rock.
I love teaching and giving my students the necessary tools to become theater and music artists themselves. My goal is to build their confidence and help them make a personal connection with what they are learning. And of course, have fun along the way!
I am a mommy to a sweet 5-year-old boy, 3 year old girl and a brand new baby boy. I am also married to a wonderful fellow Outschool music teacher named Jared. I have an adorable dog named Walt who you may even see in the classroom. See ya soon!
