This ongoing Preschool Drama Club will meet once a week to explore the world of theater. Your little ones will be encouraged to use their big imaginations as we play and socialize with like-minded peers! We will learn about acting using our bodies, facial expressions, and emotions. We will play games and explore different theater styles including musical theater, storybook theater, and puppet theater. We will also practice projecting our voices and speaking with confidence. I strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for your child so they feel comfortable exploring the world of acting without the fear of judgment. All levels are welcome! Hello parents and learners! I am a Theater teacher as well as a professional actress, voice-over artist, and singer. I teach a variety of classes dedicated to theater and music. I invite you to check out my online classroom!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts and 13 years of experience working in Theater Arts and Music education with all ages from toddlers to adults. I worked as a theater and music teaching artist at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 8 years as well as the Disney Musicals in Schools program bringing the magic of Disney to elementary and middle schools.
I have worked at The Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, Ohio bringing classic theater to grades K-12 as both a professional actor and teacher and I am a former vocal coach at the School of Rock.
I love teaching and giving my students the necessary tools to become theater and music artists themselves. My goal is to build their confidence and help them make a personal connection with what they are learning. And of course, have fun along the way!
I am a mommy to a sweet 5-year-old boy, 3 year old girl and a brand new baby boy. I am also married to a wonderful fellow Outschool music teacher named Jared. I have an adorable dog named Walt who you may even see in the classroom. See ya soon!
