Join me for a fun, beginner's drawing class. Each week, we will draw something different. We will often look at photos and/or discuss fun facts about out topic. Then I guide students through a directed step by step drawing using pencil and crayons, but students do not have to make their drawing exactly like mine. Creativity is encouraged! They may make it as simple or as elaborate as they'd like. This is not an intensive, professional drawing class, but rather a relaxed, recreational class. I want students to have fun and build confidence! Some students may want to chat as we’re drawing and coloring, while others prefer to work quietly. Either way is fine! There may be occasions where students may not finish all of the coloring or added details during our class time, but they are encouraged to keep working after class to finish. I don't want them to feel rushed or overwhelmed. You can join anytime! When you want to unsubscribe, be sure to do so before Sunday so you won't be charged for the following week. If a class isn’t scheduled for a particular day, you will not be charged. If your child misses a live class, a video of the class will be available for your child to use. They can even send me a pic of their completed work, if they’d like. :)

Teacher expertise and credentials
California Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Sarah. I am a credentialed teacher with 18 years of experience teaching in the public, private, and online school settings. Most of my years spent teaching have been in first grade, which I love. I enjoy teaching Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with specialization in Early Childhood. I also have a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.
I like to teach lessons that are interactive, engaging, meaningful, and fun. I want students to not be afraid to take risks in learning. Even if they don’t get the correct answer right away, that’s ok, as long as they try their best. Learning is an ongoing process and everybody learns at different rates and through different methods and styles.
I love animals and I have lots of pets, including dogs, birds, and bunnies. I also enjoy baking, tap dancing, and learning new things. I look forward to seeing you in my classroom!
