1-2 hours per week. A weekly challenge will be set each week for learners to complete on their own time.Class Experience
This class is taught by a professional artist and will help you to grow your sketching and drawing skills by teaching you how to draw and sketch a variety of topics such as portraiture, animals and still lifes. Each week I will send out an image for reference, that goes along with our topic. When class begins we will get started on the basics of how to draw and shade the reference image. Each week, I will also send out a challenge for students to complete individually. These challenges are then posted in the classroom for discussion. The topics for each class are listed below, following the final week, the order repeats starting at the beginning. Exceptions to the order can happen around major US Holidays (i.e. Halloween), since students typically like to create themed drawings: 3/5: One-Point Perspective Rooms/Cities 3/12: Two-Point Perspective Rooms/Cities 3/19: Shading Three Dimensional Shapes 3/26: Shadow/Light Drawings 4/2: Still Life Drawings Part One Week One: One-Point Perspective Rooms/Cities Week Two: Two-Point Perspective Rooms/Cities Week Three: Shading Three Dimensional Shapes Week Four: Shadow/Light Drawings Week Five: Still Life Drawings Part One Week Six: Still Life Drawings Part Two Week Seven: Textures Week Eight: Animals Part One Week Nine: Animals Part Two Week Ten: Skull Sketches Week Eleven: Facial Features Part One Week Twelve: Facial Features Part Two Week Thirteen: Proportions of the Human Face Week Fourteen: Shading the Human Face Week Fifteen: Gesture Drawings Week Sixteen: Figure Drawing

Teacher expertise and credentials
Idaho Teaching Certificate in Music/Theater/Arts
My name is Ashley Kaye I am an artist with years of teaching in the public school system under my belt. I have built multiple art programs from the ground up and I believe that anyone can be an artist if they have the right training. In my years of teaching art I have seen timid students blossom into wonderful artists with the help of the right tools. There has never been a student that I couldn't teach, and I don't believe in giving up until we get it right.
I teach group classes on digital and traditional art as well as private art lessons. Want a specific time for a lesson or class? Just shoot me a message and I'll do my best to make it happen.
I adore Godzilla (probably to an unhealthy extent) and I live in Idaho with my husband, three beautiful kids, six chickens, the world's most ridiculous cat and a fat lazy German Shepard named Lucky.
