Let’s draw a beautiful cake together! 

Young artists will be led through a step by step drawing of a layered cake.  Learners have the option to add as many tiers as they wish.  We will discuss what makes a great pattern.  Patterns can be created from lines, shapes, or a combination of the two.  You can think of your own creative patterns, or roll the 'pattern dice' to get a pattern combination idea for each cake tier.  We will carefully outline the patterns with water-based markers.  Artists will then create a beautiful watercolor painting by simply adding a little water (with a fine tip paint brush) to their patterns.  A demonstration will be provided.  Learners may choose to use watercolor paints instead.  These beautiful paintings would make a wonderful gift for any special celebration!
