This class provides brand-new lessons, every single week, for TWO YEARS. Therefore, a lesson taken on December 10, 2024 will not repeat until around December 10, 2026. Again, I will teach two years of brand-new material, in every single class. Students are always welcome to repeat a lesson, which they have already taken. In fact, I recommend this, as it could strengthen skills and build an art portfolio with clear comparisons of growth, over time. . Using pencil or crayon, we will draw a picture using basic shapes, lines and step-by-step instruction. After the drawing is complete, we will paint our images with a variety of colors. . Students do not need painting experience, as we will discuss painting techniques and practice using the paintbrush during each class. Students will identify colors, shapes and art supplies. Student will be encouraged to make creative choices throughout their painting add unique ideas and elements to their paintings. Students are not required to share, however, are always given time to show and share something about their painting at the end of each class. . We will have an ART-tastic time discussing the qualities of each other's paintings, finding the beauty in unique details. . MATERIALS: Drawing Paper (Preferably something thicker than printer paper, so it does not tear) Pencil/Eraser Crayon Watercolor OR tempera Paint in pans/cakes Brush, Towel, Water in Cup Art shirt or smock, if necessary . I encourage group conversation by asking questions to each student, however, am understanding of students who prefer to paint quietly. I strive to make sure each student feels included, comfortable and happy during my classes. . *SCHEDULE CHANGES?* If your schedule changes: I am happy to transfer students into a different time if given 24-hour notice. *ABSENT?* Please request a recording of missed classes. Typically, I am happy to send recordings and offer help/feedback to verified learners. However, access to class recordings is not guaranteed. All classes begin on time, as long as one learner is in the classroom. In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, I will exit after 10 minutes. In addition, there are rare events where recordings must remain private to ensure learner safety. Outschool's policy states that recordings are shared per teacher discretion. No refunds will be given for missed classes.
